For the past thirty years the Beillevaire family have been collecting warm raw milk twice a day direct from the cows of local farms in the Vendee Marches of the Loire. Using traditional methods the milk is then transformed into cheese and diary products that consequently have a unique natural flavour and quality.
Beillevaire butter is made in beautiful wooden moulds which give it character and consistency. The range of unpasteurised cheeses includes the oval rind washed Machecoulais which has been the passion of the family, and is a symbol of all that they have worked for in remaining true to the traditions and values of the local terroir. Fromage blanc, yoghurts, riz au lait caramel and many other desserts produced in their dairy are also on offer.
