Before yesterday’s reopening of Borough Market, a team of volunteers worked through the night to create the beautiful and highly symbolic installation of flowers and vegetables currently wreathed around the Market’s famous Art Deco gates. Entitled ‘A Tribute \ Community Healing’, the piece was constructed by a group of London-based creatives, using produce donated by wholesalers at New Covent Garden Market, in a heartfelt display of community and solidarity. The peonies at its heart represent hope and healing, the rosemary represents remembrance.
