Rabot Estate is first and foremost a cacao producer, based on a traditional plantation on St Lucia - a Caribbean island whose age-old cacao growing pedigree had, in recent decades, been overwhelmed by the banana trade.
As well as growing its own cacao, the company buys beans at a premium from around 80 local farmers. But Rabot Estate doesn’t just grow and process cacao – it also turns it into fantastically good chocolate, which can be bought in a wide variety of mouth-watering forms in the Stoney Street shop.
The shop also houses the Chocolate Café, serving sweet and savoury dishes, all of which contain the company’s chocolate.
