Easter at the Demonstration Kitchen
2/Apr/2012
Easter is here and at this week’s Demonstration Kitchen, our chef Hayley Edwards, will be joining us in celebrating what’s one of our favourite times of year. But this year, there’s not a traditional Easter chick in sight; instead, Hayley will be cooking dishes which take their inspiration from around the world.
On the menu this week is salmon from Furness Fish and Game, roasted with rosemary and garlic. There’ll also be beautifully slow roasted lamb from Rhug Estate with Kalamata olives from Oliveology, red onions and rosemary, all served with a yoghurt, cucumber and mint dip.
Hayley will be combining goat’s cheese from Une Normande a Londres with red onions from Only Organics to make a light dish to match the warm weather we’ve been having.
To top it all off, there’ll also be a simple chocolate mousse with a raspberry and passion fruit coulis and as always, Borough Wines have recommended different wines to perfectly suit every dish.
Hayley will be cooking and offering her advice in the Jubilee Market from 12-2pm this Thursday 5th April. If you want to give your Easter celebrations a bit of a twist, this Demonstration Kitchen is not to be missed!
