Join Borough Market for a day of un-bee-lievable inspiration on how to support urban bees, as part of Chelsea Fringe.
The Market Hall will be humming with bee experts who’ll provide an abundance of planting ideas for urban spaces, as well as sharing their expertise about hives and urban bee keeping. We’ll be joined by the author of ‘Planting for Honey Bees: the growers guide to creating a buzz’, Sarah Wyndham-Lewis for a live chat, plus from 1-2.30pm a special honey cookery demonstration will take place with chef Angela Clutton and Borough Market honey trader, From Field and Flower.
With recipes to take away to try at home, tasters and tons of tips on how to help our urban dwelling honey bees, the Market Hall will be buzzing with activity including the chance to meet urban beekeeper, Dale Gibson of Bermondsey Street Bees, and get close up to his bees in their glass hive! We’ll also have a bee-autiful planting installation on display.
We hope to also be joined by the Bee Friendly Trust and their troupe of Waggle dancers - surely something not to be missed!
The event is free to all, and will take place in the Market Hall on the 25th May, 10-4pm. Hope to see you there!
