Join food writer, supper club host, cookery teacher and private chef Kathy Slack in the Demo Kitchen for a demo that puts veg front and centre
We know we need to eat more fruit and veg, and get our children into the habit. According to the Food Foundation 80% of kids don’t eat enough, leading to various health issues in later life. Join Kathy, who writes about the gluts in her organic vegetable patch for a demo that puts veg front and centre in a way that will be hard for even the pickest pea avoider to resist.
Kathy's menu will include:
- Homemade flatbreads with beetroot dip
- English spring rolls (chicken, cucumber, mange tout, spring greenery and pickled radishes in a rice wrapper)
- Green bean carbonara
- Pea, mint and feta frittata
- Carrot and thyme wholemeal muffins
Join Kathy for tips, tastings and recipes on Friday 11th May in the Market Hall, 1pm-2.30pm. This Demo Kitchen is in support of The Food Foundation's Veg Power campaign.
