Join chef Katherine Frelon in Borough Market's Cookhouse on the 6th & 7th April for a vegan cooking extravaganza which will include a shopping trip around the Market.
Regular Borough Market demo chef Katherine has a wealth of experience in the food industry having worked in numerous restaurants around the world, including some Michelin-starred. Her cookbook “Shop, Cook, Eat” was inspired by her lifelong passion for market shopping, and now she will she will be sharing this passion with you.
Proving that cooking a plant-based diet can be just as versatile and interesting as cooking with meat and fish, no matter your personal preferences, tastes or dietary requirements, Katherine will be running two one-day vegan courses on Friday 6th April & Saturday 7th April 2018 between 9:30am and 4:30pm with tickets at just £95.
The day will include:
- A tour around Borough Market with Katherine picking up ingredients for the session from our award-winning traders. Here she will share her wisdom on how to select the best and freshest seasonal produce as well as how to craft the perfect pantry that can carry you through the year.
- A demonstration of how to make courgette and butternut quiche with Yemenite hot sauce, coriander and parsley which guests will sit down to enjoy for lunch with a selection of wines.
- An opportunity in the afternoon to cook alongside Katherine making simple suppers including a super wholefood salad with cannellini tahini; quinoa, potato falafels with satay sauce; fragrant jeweled tabbouleh; and a roasted spiced pineapple with non-dairy caramel ice cream to finish.
