Join us on 28th February and 1st March as we celebrate all things Welsh. There will be cookery demonstrations, a performance from London Welsh Choir and special guest traders selling everything from traditional Welsh cakes and Welsh lamb, to gin and farmhouse cheeses.
Get ready for a showcase of regional delights with leeks and daffodils aplenty as we celebrate St David’s Day with some of the best Welsh produce available.
GBBO finalist and Welsh native Beca Lyne-Pirkis will be cooking up a storm in the demo kitchen on Thursday. Using seasonal ingredients from the Market and produce from some of our Welsh guest traders, Beca will be preparing some delicious recipes which you can recreate at home. Her menu will include Herb blinis with smoked fish & pickled veg, Welsh Rarebit Croquettes with cranberry chutney, and Coffee Tart with rum cream and honeycomb.
The fun doesn’t stop there, as our guest traders will be with us on Friday too. To keep them company on St David’s Day, we will be joined by Welsh cookery school teacher, broadcaster and mother of five Lisa Fearn. Lisa's menu will include Welsh maple bacon flatbreads with herb cream cheese, cockle and mussel risotto & laverbread, and white chocolate chip Welsh cakes with roast rhubarb, ginger and vanilla cream.
Ahead of Lisa’s demo, the Borough Welsh Choir will be singing their hearts out and performing some well-known classics. Feel free to sing along and help us celebrate Dewi Sant.

Demos take place from 1pm-2.30pm in the Market Hall. The Demo Kitchen is free to attend with recipes, tips, tricks and tasters to take away with you.
