A large-scale, hands-on cookery event to raise awareness of food poverty in London
On Tuesday 17th September, a brigade of 200 keen cooks will descend upon the Market to cook up a series of Asian-inspired dishes. Led by Jeremy Pang, chef and founder of School of Wok, the cookery class will provide a feast for both participants—who will get a chance to sit down and sample the fruits of their labour—plus more than 1,000 people in need. Meals created on the morning will be packaged up and delivered to charities and organisations across the capital via the Plan Zheroes network, an initiative that helps connect businesses with surplus food to those who need it, and all profits from ticket sales will go toward supporting the charity’s ongoing work.
