Play Me, I'm Yours
2/Jun/2012
As part of the City of London Festival, which is now in its 50th year, we’re delighted that one of the Festival's famous Golden Pianos will be located inside the Market from 24th June. The piano is free for all to play and is one of fifty that will be located around the city during the festival.
The Market is a real hub for creativity and many of our traders are skilled musicians so you’ll no doubt find a few of them tinkling at the keys during your shopping visit. We’ll be inviting local school pupils to the Market to practise their piano skills too and there may even be a surprise appearance from the Borough Market Choir!
Whether you can bang out some Chopin or just a version of Chopsticks, join us in the Market and show the world your talent! The piano will be decorated by upcoming artists so will look as good as they sound. It’ll make a great addition to the Market, where it’ll stay until 13th July.
We can’t wait for our turn!
