Frequently asked questions

Can I park at Borough Market?

We no longer have any customer parking at Borough Market.

There are numerous alternative car parks within a short walking distance of the Market, including Snowsfields NCP.

Does Borough Market have public toilets?

Yes, there are toilets in Three Crown Square and the Market Hall, the latter of which topped the category for markets in the Loo of the Year Awards 2016.

How accessible is Borough Market?

Borough Market is all on one ground floor level, so there are no lifts or stairs in use in public areas within the Market itself, only within some restaurants on the estate. It is a multi-surface site, with some areas harder to access than others, and with varying width passageways (from 1.5 metre to 4 metres wide) and some cobbles due to the historic nature of the site. There are also high visitor numbers at peak times.

There are fully-fitted accessible WCs with emergency pull strings in four locations within the Market, all of which are open during Market trading hours, not requiring radar access key.

There is communal seating in both the Market Hall and in Borough Market Kitchen, both areas being open to the public during Market trading hours.

The Borough Market Store is fully accessible for wheelchair users and a good place to request information.

Do you run food tours?

We have teamed up with trader Mimo to offer a range of tours at Borough Market. These are the only licensed food tours in the Market. You can find more information here.

The Market does not offer specific educational tours at the moment, however if you would like to bring a group to visit, please email info@boroughmarket.org.uk to let us know you're coming. You will also receive information on group sizes, best times to visit and where to pick up useful market literature.
