A TRADITIONAL DANCE TO MARK THE START OF A NEW YEAR
At 11am on Saturday 29 January, to mark Lunar New Year, chef Salina Khairunnisa, who runs the Joli stand in the Borough Market Kitchen, is organising a spectacular lion dance through the Market – a traditional harbinger of good luck in parts of east and southeast Asia. Joli, which specialises in Malaysian clay pot cooking, will also be offering a special New Year dish on its menu as part of the celebration: Prosperity clay pot noodles.
