Head of Operations
As Head of Operations, you’ll lead the team responsible for the safe, efficient and welcoming day-to-day operation of Borough Market.
Working as part of the Senior Management Team, you’ll oversee Market operations, lead and develop a large team, work closely with traders and partners, and help shape the future of one of London’s most iconic food destinations.
This is a senior leadership role for someone with strong operational experience, excellent people skills and a passion for delivering exceptional standards every day.

Market Cleaner
As a Market Cleaner, you’ll play a vital role in keeping Borough Market clean, safe and welcoming for everyone who visits.
Working as part of our Operations team, you’ll help set up and break down the Market each day, maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the estate, manage waste and recycling, and support the smooth running of one of London’s most iconic food destinations.
This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys being part of a team and thrives in a busy environment.

Borough Market is run by a charitable trust, whose trustees devolve the day-to-day running of the Market to a senior management team.
The trustees are chosen for the breadth and relevance of their skills and experience, are here to ensure that the Market adapts to changes in the food world and uses its influence to help shape those changes.

Our story
Our story began 1,000 years ago, when a market took shape at the foot of London Bridge. Since 1756, we’ve been in our current location, run by a charitable trust on behalf of the community. Today, our mission is to show that food can be made and sold in ways that are better for people, for the planet and for the sheer pleasure of eating.
