Market Cleaner

We are excited to be recruiting a Market Cleaner to join the team at Borough Market. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in one of London’s most iconic destinations, helping to deliver an outstanding experience for every customer who visits our market.
As a Market Cleaner, you will be responsible for setting up the Market, maintaining cleanliness of all areas, clearing customer tables, and managing the waste compound. You will also be responsible for breaking down the market after closing, leaving all areas in a state of readiness for the overnight wholesalers and restaurant traders.
This role has the responsibility to ensure all areas are properly maintained, to provide a safe working environment for market staff and a welcoming, safe environment for customers.

Market Supervisor

We are excited to be recruiting a Market Supervisor to join the team at Borough Market. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in one of London’s most iconic destinations, helping to deliver an outstanding experience for every customer who visits our market.
As Market Supervisor, you will ensure the smooth running of the cleaning team, without issues, across the trading week. This is an on the ground role to both carry out required cleaning tasks and ad hoc minor maintenance tasks, as well as being the first point of contact for any trader queries.
This role shares responsibility for the day-to-day task management of the Market cleaning team, providing clear instructions and ensuring that all tasks are carried out in line with Borough Market’s health and safety policies and that staff working in the cleaning team are properly trained, briefed and equipped to do their roles.
