Director of Operations

We are seeking a Director of Operations to join our senior leadership team at Borough Market. This is a rare opportunity to take a key role in shaping the day-to-day running of one of London’s most iconic food markets, ensuring its continued success as a world-class destination rooted in community, sustainability, and quality.

As Director of Operations, you will lead and manage the operational activities of the market estate, overseeing key areas including trader development, sustainability, health & safety, and estate management. Working closely with the CEO, you will play a vital role in developing and delivering the business strategy for both the Borough Market Trust and its commercial arm. You will be responsible for managing the operations budget, leading a dedicated team, and ensuring the Market runs smoothly and efficiently every day.

We are looking for a passionate individual with a strong background in operations at a senior level. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of strategic decision-making, financial and commercial acumen, and outstanding people skills. You will bring a passion for food, sustainability, and community, with the ability to drive forward Borough Market’s vision while maintaining its unique character and values.

Administrative Assistant

We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our Development team.  This is a newly created position to support the team, ensuring smooth and efficient administrative operations.

This role will involve assisting the Head of Development, Trader Development Manager, Food Standards Manager and Sustainability Manager with various administrative tasks, project coordination, and stakeholder communication.

The role requires a highly organised individual with excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. If you’re motivated to succeed and ready to take on a variety of exciting challenges as our Administrative Assistant, we want to hear from you!
