Berenjak Borough
Persian stews, kababs and mazeh plates
SHARING DISHES ARE INSPIRED BY THE LARGE FAMILY GATHERINGS OF KIAN’S CHILDHOOD
Headed by chef Kian Samyani, Berenjak Borough takes its inspiration from traditional Iranian townhouses in the foothills of the Alborz mountains, which surround Tehran. The interiors celebrate Iran’s rich cultural heritage, while the menu features sharing dishes inspired by the large family gatherings of Kian’s childhood, including chelow kabab chenjeh (a tender lamb fillet kabab served with ta-dig), baghali polow ba mahiche (lamb shanks with dill and broad bean ta-dig), and zereshk pollow (charcoal rotisserie saffron chicken with sweet and sour barberries and shirazi salad). These are joined by Persian stews and signature mazeh plates.
