Nana Fanny’s is famous for its delicious salt beef bagels, which have been perfected over the course of decades by Ivan Lester and his family, who’ve been in business since 1944. While the exact recipe is a guarded secret, the results speak for themselves: intensely flavoured, pink-blushed beef, soft as butter, topped with thick pickles and razor-sharp mustard. They also have a number of offerings made in collaboration with fellow market stallholders, such as smoked salmon and cream cheese filling made with fish from Shellseekers Fish and Game; a Jumi Cheese raclette melt; as well as freshly made falafels served in a wrap or in a box with salad and punchy pickles.
