Salt beef, falafel and classic deli foods
Nana Fanny’s is famous for its delicious salt beef, which has been perfected over the course of decades by Ivan Lester and his family, who’ve been in business since 1944. While the exact recipe is a guarded secret, the results speak for themselves: intensely flavoured, pink-blushed beef, soft as butter, topped with thick pickles and razor-sharp mustard served classically in bagels or rye bread.
The stall also offers deli classics such as potato latkes, schnitzels and freshly made falafels served in a wrap or salad box, as well as a number of dishes made in collaboration with fellow Market stallholders such as smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels made with fish from Shellseekers Fish and Game, and a Jumi Cheese raclette melt.
