A free performance from local Welsh choir Côr y Boro to celebrate St David’s Day – 1 March 2026
LOCAL WELSH CHOIR BRING SOME HWYL AND HIRAETH THIS ST DAVID’S DAY
Enjoy a selection of Welsh choral favourites this St David’s Day (1 March 2026) as local community choir Côr y Boro perform in the Market Hall.
Côr y Boro (the Borough Welsh Choir) are based at the Borough Welsh Congregational Chapel, just a short walk from the Market. The decorated history of the choir stretches back around a century – they were victorious in the Welsh National Eisteddfod in Liverpool in 1929!
This incarnation of the choir began in 2016, and since then they’ve performed at such venues as Buckingham Palace, 10 Downing Street and Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium. For more on Côr y Boro you can find them on Facebook and Instagram.
The Market will be open as usual, and there’s no need to book. Simply come along and enjoy the music as part of your visit.
