Celebrating 25 years in Borough Market, Applebee’s started as a fishmonger before moving into its first bricks-and-mortar seafood restaurant on Stoney Street. Still fully independent and family-run, Applebee’s continues to spotlight premium British seafood sourced directly from fishermen at Brixham Fish Market. The menu, crafted by executive chef Frankie van Loo, features a weekly-changing selection of the freshest seafood, dictated by what lands on the Devon and Cornwall day boats each morning. Alongside the food, the wine list champions English growers, including Devon-based Sandridge Barton, Blackbook Winery – an urban producer in Battersea – Gusbourne and Westwell Wines.
