Among the first wave of specialist retailers to arrive at Borough Market in the late 1990s, Monmouth Coffee Company has gone on to become one of the most revered names in British coffee and a pioneer in the recent renaissance of cafe culture. The company imports a wide variety of single origin coffee beans from farms, estates and cooperatives around the coffee-growing world, which are then skilfully roasted in nearby Bermondsey. Coffee is available to buy as whole or ground beans, while the cafe serves single cone filter coffee and espresso-based drinks.

Single-use paper cups for takeaway coffees are no longer be available at Monmouth Coffee Company. Customers are encouraged to bring their own re-usable cups for takeaway beverages.
