Rhug Estate supplies premium organic meat from the historic Newborough family estate in Rhug, on the River Dee in north Wales. The farm’s produce—certified by the Soil Association—includes Rhug pedigree Aberdeen angus beef, Duroc cross breed pork, and premium chickens, which are reared slowly over a 14-week period. As well as organic meat, the Rhug Estate stall sells other specialities such as peli pabo, a delicious Welsh goat’s cheese with chilli, and perl wen, a creamy cheese wedge. The Estate also has a coastal unit near Caernarfon, where it produces salt marsh lamb.
