2017 Slow Food London Awards announced

Borough traders recognised for their ethical foundations and commitment to good food
Slow Food London has announced the winners of its annual awards, in which Borough Market, many of its traders and even one of its trustees have all been recognised for their ethical foundations and commitment to good food.
Voted for by the thousands of London-based members of the global, grassroots Slow Food movement, without any prior shortlisting, the awards represent the personal choices of a group of Londoners who care passionately about the quality and provenance of what they eat.
Borough’s prominence in the list is a clear reflection of the way in which Slow Food’s values, which link the pleasure of eating with a commitment to community and the environment, chime with those of the Market, a place full of good food that has been created in a sustainable, small-scale, environmentally sound and often highly traditional manner.
