John Stark (better known as Jock) has been handling fresh fruit and veg for more years than he’d care to remember. The amiable Scot has been connected to Borough Market for more than 40 years, originally as a customer sourcing produce for his greengrocers in South Nunhead. Now run alongside his son Richard, the stall boasts a careful selection of the season’s best fruit and veg from home and abroad – from locally grown strawberries, raspberries and blueberries, to dates, mangos and apricots.
