Stark’s Fruiterers

John Stark (better known as Jock) began his relationship with fresh fruit and veg at Borough Market more than 40 years ago, originally as a customer sourcing produce for his shop in South Nunhead, then as the owner of his own greengrocers stall at the Market. Now run by Jock’s son Richard, the Stark’s Fruiterers stall boasts a careful selection of the season’s best fruit and veg from home and abroad – from locally grown strawberries, raspberries and blueberries, to dates, mangos and apricots – all chosen and sold using the abundance of knowledge accumulated over the decades.
